IRGA-2.3S heat meter (steam meter, steam flow meter) is designed to measure and account the flow rate of saturated or superheated steam, the amount of heat energy and the mass of the heat carrier at the supplier or consumer site, as well as to control the parameters of the heat carrier in heat supply systems, where the heat carrier is water vapor (saturated or superheated).
Irga-2.3S complies with the requirements of the Rules for Metering Thermal Energy, Heat Carrier. The steam meter can be used in commercial and technological metering of steam and thermal energy with a steam heat transfer medium.
Irga-2.3S steam meter (1 channel) includes:
-
gauge or absolute pressure sensor
-
thermal converter
-
condensate flow sensor
Irga-2.3S heat meter (steam flow meter) based on the Irga-RV vortex flow meters has been produced since 2004.
About 75% of the produced vortex flow meters are used to equip steam meters.
Irga-2.3S heat meter is installed at several CHP plants and state district power plants of RAO UES of Russia, as well as at many chemical, petrochemical and food enterprises.
The steam meter is easily integrated into the upper-level automated process control system with data transfer via the RS-485 interface under the Modbus RTU protocol (when equipped with the AS-485 adapter).
Irga-2.3S steam meter, as part of the energy metering unit,
measures:
-
mass and volumetric flow rate of steam, t/h, m3/h;
-
mass and volumetric flow rate of return condensate, t/h, m3/h;
-
steam temperature, ° C;
-
return condensate temperature, ° С;
-
steam pressure, MPa;
-
mass of steam, t;
-
the amount of heat energy consumed, Gcal;
-
thermal power of the consumed heat carrier, Gcal/h;
registers, displays on the LCD screen, stores in memory:
-
current date and time, hours and minutes;
-
measurement channel number;
-
current, monthly, daily, hourly average steam pressure in pipelines, MPa;
-
current, monthly, daily, hourly average steam temperature in pipelines, °С;
-
current temperature of cold (make-up) water, °С;
-
current flow rate of the returned condensate, m3/;
-
hourly, daily and monthly volumes of returned condensate and its total volume on an accrual basis for the entire measurement period, m3;
-
current heat power consumed with steam, Gcal/h;
-
current steam consumption, t/h and m3/;
-
hourly, daily and monthly mass of the released (received) steam and its total amount on an accrual basis for the measurement period;
-
total operating time of the device;
-
operating time in normal mode;
-
emergency operating time: using power, sensors, at a flow rate less than the lower set point;
enables data exchange:
-
with a local PC when wired via the RS-232 interface at a speed of 9,600 bps;
-
with a remote PC via wired communication lines using a modem or wireless communication lines using a radio modem.
When equipped with the AS-485 adapter, the Irga-2 computers included in the steam meters can be networked via the RS-485 interface with the Modbus RTU protocol.
The steam meter is easily integrated into the upper-level automated process control system with data transfer via the RS-485 interface under the Modbus RTU protocol (when equipped with the AS-485 adapter).
