Irga-GERMES durability and leakage test bench

Description

Irga-GERMES test bench (strength and leakage test bench) is designed for crimping gas and flow meters. It consists of a compressor unit, cylinders, a working gas injection line, a set of pressure sensors and a sealing device (pneumatic or manual).

The development and manufacture of the Irga‑-GERMES test bench is due to changes in GOST that regulate the method of gas meter calibration. A mandatory requirement for the calibration of flow and gas meters is to test their durability and tightness.

The bench is designed to test with excessive test pressure the durability and tightness of household, utility and industrial flow and gas meters with threaded and flanged types of connections and other products with similar types of connections.

The bench is designed both for stand-alone use, and for use as part of a testing assembly.

Technical characteristics

The bench corresponds to a climatic category UHL3.1 in accordance with GOST 15150, but for operation at:

ambient temperature from + 1 °C to + 40 °C
relative humidity 90% at a temperature of 25 °C
atmospheric pressure from 86 to 106.7 kPa

Types of test products

When tested with gas:

vertical/horizontal placement of the tested product
DN up to 250 mm

When tested with water:

vertical/horizontal placement of the tested product
as agreed with the Customer

Test pressure

When tested with gas:

vertical placement of the tested product
up to 0.1 MPa
horizontal placement of the tested product
up to 2.5 MPa

When tested with water:

vertical/horizontal placement of the tested product
as agreed with the Customer

Principle of operation

The operation principle of the crimping test bench is based on the generation of the excess controlled test pressure in the piping system connected to the test product.
