      Irga-K calibration device is intended for reproduction (generation) of exact program-controlled values:

      • DC power

      • DC voltage

      • DC resistance

      • meander-type periodic signals

      A calibrator modification is produced (Irga-K/2), which, along with reproducing the above parameters, can be used to measure the frequency of a periodic signal.

      Description

      The calibrator can be used:

      • to set up and calibrate controllers, proofreaders, electronic corrector and other mini-computers with input signals corresponding to the parameters of the calibrator output signals, for example, the Irga-2 computer, computers manufactured by NPF Logika, ZAO NPF Teplocom, etc.

      • to configure and verify primary sensors: pressure, temperature, flow or any other, the output signal range of which corresponds to the signal ranges of the calibrator

      • to calibrate (verify) electrical signal channels in automated process control systems

      • as a means of automatic calibration (verification) of sensors and measuring channels in multi-parameter measuring systems

      • wherever high-precision, program-controlled generation of electrical signals is required

      The scope of supply includes:

      • the Irga-K main unit

      • switching units (1 to 3)

      • power supply unit (output parameters from 6 to 18 V, 0.5 A)

      • PC with the necessary sets of documentation and software

      • set of connecting cables

      • jumpers

      • operational documentation

      Note
      * The BK-1, BK-2 and BK-3 switching units are used to connect various devices to the output channels of the calibrator.
      The switching units are mounted in plastic cases and have a set of terminals for connection to the calibrator main unit.
      The face of the BK-1 and BK-3 casing has connectors for power supply.

      Principle of operation

      Using target PC software, the operator sets the required signal values at the output of the calibrator.

      After receiving the task, the calibrator sets the values of the parameters on its output connectors, which takes some time. After successful setting the parameter, the calibrator reports that it is ready to output a signal.

      The channel, designed to reproduce the DC rate and voltage, operates as follows:

      • the specified current is generated using a reference voltage source and variable resistance and flows through a reference resistor, which measures the voltage drop

      • to generate a DC voltage, the channel is additionally equipped with an operational amplifier for voltage drop at the reference resistor

      • the slave processor recalculates the current and, if necessary, changes the value of the variable resistance

      The channel designed to reproduce DC resistance operates as follows:

      • the range of reproducible resistance values from 30 to 290 Ohms is divided into 4 sub-ranges with separate shaping stage: 30 to 47 ohms; 47 to 82 ohms; 82 to 151 ohms; 151 to 290 ohms. When a shaping stage operates, all other stages must be disabled

      • the reference voltage is applied to the generated and reference resistances and the generated resistance is measured by the microprocessor through the ratio of the voltage drops at the generated and reference resistors

      Channels for measuring and reproducing a period are implemented using a slave processor and a crystal oscillator. The period in such channels is generated or measured by the slave processor.

      The calibrator allows simultaneous setting the parameters:

      • 8 channels - for generating either DC power or voltage

      • 5 channels - for generating DC resistance

      • 6 channels - generating a meander-type periodic signal

      • it also measures the frequency of the periodic signal (1 channel)
